Shahrukh Khan v/s Mumbai Cricket Board

Published on May 18, 2012 by in Bollywood

“I won’t deny that I could have said something in a fit of anger, but I will not apologise,” said Shahrukh Khan Thursday, adding that the security officials from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) manhandled children and that they should say sorry for their rudeness.

“I don’t think that my behaviour was incorrect or I did something illegal. I think what I did was correct. They are my kids and I have a responsibility towards them. I will not apologise. They (officials) should apologise to me,” Shahrukh told reporters here in Mumbai.

Co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Bollywood superstar’s statement came Thursday as he faced a lifetime ban on entering the Wankhede Stadium after he allegedly turned up drunk at the ground and misbehaved with security guards and cricket officials.

The incident took place Wednesday night after his Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League match at the stadium.

The 46-year-old allegedly misbehaved and pushed the security guard at the stadium, following which he also abused officials from the MCA when they tried to intervene late Wednesday night.

“I had gone to pick up my children who were there to watch the match. I went there, congratulated my team and when I came back, I saw that there a gentleman was manhandling the children. They were pushing little girls. I just told him that this is not the way to behave,” said Shahrukh Khan.

“He (the official) spoke something in Marathi, something which I can’t even repeat…I said he should not speak to me like this. It is extremely disturbing to see the way they manhandled children. Their behaviour is unpardonable. They were extremely highhanded. I won’t deny that I could have said something in a fit of anger,” he added.

Shah Rukh said he possesses good sportsman’s spirit and that he would never ever behave in a bad manner.

“We are public figures. We are actors and we will never ever behave rudely,” he insisted. “There was no argument with the cops. They were just trying to control the fight. They said, ‘Aap ghar jao hum dekh lenge’.”

A complaint has been registered in Mumbai’s Marine Drive police station by the MCA officials. Assistant Commissioner of Police Iqbal Shaikh said the actor was “smelling” of liquor.

Commenting upon that, SRK said: “I was not drunk. I just drink socially. It is an easy way to pick on the celebrities and say things like that they were drunk or were angry.” Source

Akshay Kumar Is Looking For Another 100 Crore Mark With Rowdy Rathore

Published on May 18, 2012 by in Bollywood

Armed with a super duper hit like HOUSEFULL 2, which is Akshay Kumar’s first film to enter the coveted 100 crore club, the khiladi looks set to score back to back centuries with his upcoming Prabhu Deva directed ROWDY RATHORE.

The hype for the masala action film is huge with its music, dialogues and promos being loved by the public. And seeing this the trade is very hopeful that ROWDY RATHORE will indeed take a flying start at the ticket window and the film is being touted as Akshay Kumar’s next entry into the 100 crore club after HOUSEFULL 2.

If things go as predicted then Akshay Kumar will be the third actor after the two Khans, Salman and Shahrukh, to have scored two centuries within a time span of just about two months or so.

Just to recall, Salman Khan was the first actor to score back to back hundreds within two months with READY (3rd June 2011) and BODYGUARD (30th August 2011). His heroics at the ticket window were followed by Shahrukh Khan who too hit a couple of centuries with RA.ONE (26th October 2011) and DON 2 (23rd December 2011) within a span of just two months or so.

Fans of Aamir Khan will surely say that even Aamir Khan has scored back to back centuries with GHAJINI and 3 IDIOTS, but the time gap was almost one year. Here we are talking about striking it rich at the box-office within a couple of months.

Well, all we can do is wait for 1st June to see whether Akki will prove us right and score another hundred and shut up his detractors who have been saying that HOUSEFULL 2 was a multi-starrer and so Akshay cannot take the whole credit for it. Source

Abhishek Bachchan Feels Left Out Between Aishwarya & Their Daughter

Published on May 18, 2012 by in Bollywood

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s baby Aaradhya completed her six months yesterday on May 16. Papa Abhishek is ecstatic, but confesses that he has to wait for Aishwarya’s attention because the new mother is always busy with Baby B.

While talking to a daily recently, Abhishek Bachchan excitedly expressed the joys of being a father, but not without revealing that he has been pushed to the background with Aishwarya giving all the attention to the baby.

Abhishek remembers his initial months with the baby when he used to land up on the sets of his film yawning because of the baby’s sleep routine that kept him awake all night. Then Aishwarya even suggested him to sleep in another room till Aaradhya grows up a bit.

Well, it did take some time for Abhi to get acquainted with the fatherly ways. Now after six months of his baby’s birth, Abhishek can carry Aaradhya all the time, can play with her, and even attempt to change diapers, but he admits that with Aishwarya around he doesn’t have much to do.

“Ash’s day starts and ends with the baby. Since she insists on doing everything for Aaradhya, including giving her a maalish (massage), bathing her and attending to her round-the-clock, I’m now waiting in queue for Ash’s attention,” quips Abhishek.

Does that mean Abhishek Bachchan is missing Aishwarya Rai? Source

Can Krrish 3 Prove To Be Hrithik Roshan’s Best Film Ever?

Published on April 21, 2012 by in Bollywood

It was not long back when every successful film of Hrithik Roshan was associated with his home production or to be precise with his dad’s scripts. But after the roaring success of his films like AGNEEPATH and ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, this perception is gradually losing its relevance.

Now as facts stand, Hrithik’s home productions are not the only films that define him. The biggest challenge that the actor now has taken on himself is to make his forthcoming film KRRISH 3 the biggest hit of his career.

Hrithik on his part does not mince words while spelling out the importance of his forthcoming home production KRRISH 3. Speaking about it, the actor says, “I will start shooting soon for KRRISH 3. It’s the most difficult film as I play two roles. If I want victory again, I’ll have to go through the battle again. The biggest hit of my life is AGNEEPATH. My second is ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA and the third biggest hit is DHOOM 2. They surpassed my father’s films. Now the challenge is with KRRISH 3. I want it to be my biggest hit.”

Now that Hrithik is set for a battle yet again, let’s hope he emerges victorious as we rightly expect of him. Source
